The Cuisinart CJE-1000 Juice Extractor makes it convenient for you to make fresh and nutritious fruit and vegetable juices from the comfort of your own home. Now that summer is just around the corner, you might be planning on adopting a healthier lifestyle by incorporating juicing into your daily regime. Juicing is a great way to improve your overall health and well-being.

The Cuisinart CJE-1000 1000-Watt 5-Speed Juice Extractor, comes equipped with many features. I will explain what some of these features are and the benefits that come with them.

To begin with, this machine is built with a 1000-Watt motor enabling you to juice just about anything in the way of a variety of fruits and vegetables. It has a very quiet motor. Many users commented on the fact that the motor is very quiet. This is beneficial because now you don't have to worry about waking up the rest of your family in the morning if you are an early riser.

Instead, you can make juice for everyone in your family or just for yourself knowing that you won't be disturbing anyone else by running your juice extractor.

The Cuisinart Juice Extractor has 5-speed dial with a blue LED light ring. Knowing which speed to use on the juicer is very important because you have to take into consideration what type of vegetable or fruit you are juicing and which speed you should choose. As one user put it, softer fruits like kiwi and the like yield more juice at a lower speed while a faster speed would be used for juicing things like carrots, beets, and apples. Juicing vegetables like carrots and beets will result in a super dry pulp, whereas, softer fruits leave a wetter pulp but the machine still outputs a good amount of juice.

While most people were quite satisfied with the amount of juice that the Cuisinart Juice Extractor yields, some people thought its output could be a bit greater as too much juice was left in the pulp. My answer to this would be that depending on what you have juiced you could always eat the pulp to get 100% benefit from the fruit or vegetable or you could use it in your cooking or baking. Again, the amount of juice that might be left in the pulp is really dependent on what you are juicing and what speed you set your juicer at.

Another user commented on the fact she never had to put it on the highest setting, because the lower settings were actually calibrated higher, so she still got excellent results with this juicer on the lower setting. The Cuisinart CJE-1000 comes with a an instruction manual as well as a recipe book so you can just refer to the manual for suggestions on speed settings depending on what you are juicing so in turn it makes it a very easy to use and understand.

Along with that, the Cuisinart CJE-1000, is built with a large 3-inch feed tube or chute allowing you to juice whole fruits and vegetables. This will save you time as you won't have to cut everything up in order to feed it down the tube. Keep in mind though some fruits and vegetables might have to be cut into smaller pieces if they are very large to begin with.

This machine is also very easy to assemble and take apart. One user who owns one of these juicers, said she was able to put it together in less than 2 minutes. The Cuisinart juice extractor is also very easy to clean. As one user put it 'cleaning the juicer after using it was a breeze.' All she did was take the juicer apart, empty the pulp into the compost bin, and then just rinse everything under running water and put the pieces on a drainboard to dry until she was ready to use it again. This would apply to someone who is making juice more than once a day.

However, if you are someone who is only planning to make juice once a day, then all parts after being rinsed could go directly into the dishwasher to be washed. The Cuisinart CJE-1000 is made from die-cast and stainless steel housing which is dishwasher safe.

This machine also comes with a brush to clean the metal screen. All you have to do is scrub the screen under running water and it cleans up in less than a minute. To make clean-up even quicker, several users suggested putting a plastic bag inside the pulp container and that way it never gets dirty so you won't have to clean it.
